Mátraháza is a resort town in the Mátra , which is part of the city of Gyöngyös .

geography

The place is on the Mátrakamm and has an altitude of 650-700 m. Mount Kékes is 2 km to the northeast . The city center of Gyöngyös is 10 km to the south and can be reached via main road 24 .

history

In 1930 the first house, a hostel, was built. The building, reminiscent of a pagoda , still stands today and is used as a hotel.
