Edgar Larner

Edgar Thomas Larner (* 1869 ; † 1930 ) was a British radio and television engineer and pioneer. He was born in the city of Norwich , Norfolk , England . Professionally, he worked as an engineer and scientist for the GPO ( General Post Office ) in the field of engineering telephone. Back then the GPO was part of the British Civil Service , so he was a Civil Service agent. He was a television and radio experimenter and pioneer. He also taught at the Hackney Institute in London. Two of his friends were John Logie Baird and Philo Farnsworth . He died in Hackney , London, in 1930 at the age of 61 .
