Edgar Moosdorf

Edgar Moosdorf (born May 21, 1948 in Belgern ) is a former German soccer player. He was used for 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig in the GDR league .

In his youth Moosdorf played in the lower class teams of Belgern and Rackwitz . In 1970 he came to 1. FC Lok. From 1970 to 1974 he played a total of 20 games in the major league and scored one goal. In the 1971/1972 season he was also used in two cup games. He couldn't win a regular place. He played only five of his league games over the full playing time. Mostly he played in midfield. He had most missions (12) in the 1972/1973 season .

In 1974 he left 1. FCL and joined BSG Chemie Torgau, where he played until 1983 and then was active as a coach (after the reunification at the successor club TSV Blau-Weiß Torgau). Professionally, he worked as a locksmith at a mechanical engineering company in Torgau.

In 2005 Edgar Moosdorf finally said goodbye to football, most recently he had been coach at SV Roland Belgern for nine years with his son Falk Moosdorf.
