Edgara's Pilypaitis
Edgaras Pilypaitis (born December 20, 1974 in Gelgaudiškis , Šakiai district ) is a Lithuanian conservative politician and mayor of the Šakiai district since 2017 .
Life
In 1993 Edgaras Pilypaitis graduated from the Gelgaudiškis Middle School near Šakiai , from 1993 to 1998 the bachelor's degree in Catholic theology and from 1998 to 2000 the master's degree in pastoral theology at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas in Kaunas . From 1996 he taught as a teacher in Gelgaudiškis and from 1999 was the organizer and from 2002 director of the Gelgaudiškis cultural center. Pilypaitis has been a member of the Šakiai Municipality Council since 2003. Then he was the deputy mayor of the municipality. He has been the mayor of Šakiai since May 2017 after the mayoral election in Lithuania in 2017 .
He is a member of the Tėvynės Sąjunga - Lietuvos krikščionys demokratai party . Pilypaitis was previously a member of the Lietuvos krikščionių Demokratieų partija .
