Edith Trautwein

Edith Trautwein , b. Malm (born December 17, 1882 in Hanover , † July 8, 1967 in Pforzheim ) was a German librarian and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Edith Malm was born as the daughter of the secret government councilor Gustav Malm. After graduating from the higher secondary school for girls, she passed the examination as a state librarian in Berlin in 1905 . She married the lawyer Karl Trautwein and then worked as a housewife in Pforzheim.

Trautwein joined the SPD and became a member of the state committee for workers' welfare. She was from 1919 to 1922 councilor and from 1922 to 1930 Councilor in Pforzheim. From April 26, 1928, when she replaced the resigned MP Wilhelm Engler , until 1929 she was a member of the state parliament of the Republic of Baden .
