Editha Limbach
Editha Limbach (* 1 February 1933 in Berlin as Editha wet ) is a former German politician.
After graduating from high school, Limbach studied history and social sciences in Bonn and New York . She then worked as a journalist and editor for a number of years.
In 1960 Limbach joined the CDU , where she was deputy district director from 1970 to 1988 and then deputy district chairwoman. From 1975 to 1989 she was a member of the Bonn City Council, where she was deputy parliamentary group leader.
From 1987 to 1998 Editha Limbach sat in the German Bundestag . It was initially elected via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia and then directly in the Bonn constituency. After her work as a member of parliament, Limbach was Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of UN Refugee Aid from 1998 to 2010 .
