Brigitte Ebersbach

Brigitte Ebersbach (born March 18, 1952 ) is a German German scholar and publisher .

Life

Ebersbach studied German at the University of Bern and originally wanted to become a teacher. That was not the result of the job market at the time, instead she wrote her doctoral thesis as a research assistant in Bern. In 1988 she was one of the five founders of today by Doris Stump led eFeF publishing house to publishing an anniversary band 120 years of female enrollment - from scientists at the University of Zurich - allow. She first gained publishing experience as a freelancer at Limmat Verlag and as a publishing assistant at Scherz Verlag . Then in 1990 she founded her own literary publishing house, Edition Ebersbach.

The publisher lives with her husband in Berlin .

Edition Ebersbach

The publishing house Edition Ebersbach was based in Dortmund for 15 years . In 2000, the sole owner Brigitte Ebersbach moved the publishing house to Berlin. Only six of the approximately 70 authors of the publisher are male. The main focus of the program was and is literature by and about extraordinary women in fiction, narrative non-fiction and literary calendars. In addition to the focus on the 1920s and 1930s, there are novels, travel and gourmet literature.

Publishing house ebersbach & simon

Sascha Nicoletta Simon , who was previously the managing director of the children's and youth book publisher Tulipan from 2006 to the end of 2013, took over the operational management of the publisher, which has now been renamed ebersbach & simon, in the company's 25th year. Ebersbach stayed on as a senior publisher, but is no longer responsible for day-to-day business.
