Edmond Jaloux
Edmond Jaloux (born June 19, 1878 in Marseille , † August 22, 1949 in Lutry near Lausanne ) was a French writer and literary critic .
Jaloux worked from 1917 to 1923 as an official in the French Foreign Ministry . Since 1936 he was a member of the Académie française . From 1940 he lived in Switzerland.
Jaloux's melancholy and psychological novels sometimes have surrealist elements.
He was buried in the Cimetière du Bois-de-Vaux main cemetery in Lausanne .
