Edmund Gedult von Jungsfeld

Franz Edmund Wilhelm Agnes Freiherr Gedult von Jungsfeld (born October 20, 1813 in Hanau ; † August 26, 1886 in Mainz ) was a German merchant and an honorary citizen of the city of Mainz .

Edmund Gedult von Jungsfeld came from the old noble family of the Gedult von Jungsfeld . He was the son of Anselm Franz Edmund Joseph Freiherr Gedult von Jungsfeld (1773-1851), who was postmaster in Hanau, and his wife Barbara Maria, née Werle. From 1814 he lived in Mainz, where his father had become postmaster.

Edmund Gedult von Jungsfeld, about whose education nothing is known, became a businessman. On June 12, 1858 he became a member of the administrative commission of the Sparkasse Mainz . On May 5, 1886, he received honorary citizenship of the city of Mainz from the city council for his services as honorary director of the Mainzer Sparkasse.
