Edna Buchanan

Edna Buchanan (born March 16, 1949 in New York City ) is an American journalist and author.

She was one of the first female crime reporters for the Miami Herald and won the 1986 Pulitzer Prize for "General Reporting" . Her first novel was published in 1987, the crime series around the main character Britt Montero began in 1992. Buchanan has now worked as a writer and has given up her journalistic job. Not all novels are available in Germany; the translated ones are published by Bastei-Lübbe .
