Eduard Balsiger

Eduard Balsiger (born December 8, 1845 in Langenthal ; † May 27, 1924 in Bern ) was a Swiss teacher .

Balsiger worked as a teacher and from 1908 was a lecturer for pedagogy and methodology at the University of Bern . From 1892 to 1893 he was editor of the Swiss Teachers' Journal . He advocated “teacher training” and an elementary school that promoted “the harmonious physical and mental education of children”. His estate is in the Bern Burger Library .
