Eduard G. Fidel (also abbreviated as company egf ; * June 11, 1919 ; † July 1, 2005 ) was a German entrepreneur in the field of jewelry production.

Company history

The trained goldsmith still had a company in Marktredwitz in 1945 . Within 20 years, this advanced to become one of the world's largest ateliers for model production and posted millions in sales with its own jewelry creations. He was one of the first to introduce the injection molding process developed in the USA for ring production in Germany. One of the Fidel products is the memoire ring he invented, which, like a diary , can document important personal events in the owner's life.

In the early 1990s, Eduard G. Fidel retired as an entrepreneur and designer for health reasons. The company initially remained in family ownership and was continued by his second wife Ulrike Jordan-Fidel in Marktredwitz before the company was sold to the Pforzheim-based Zettl Group. At the end of 2001, a young company from Pforzheim took over the company. Since the end of 2002 the company has been trading again under the name of its founder, egf - Eduard G. Fidel GmbH.

In 2004 the company established the TRAURINGjuwelier initiative , which developed into Germany's largest association of wedding ring specialists.

Eduard G. Fidel died on July 1, 2005 in Marktredwitz.

Company philosophy

Fidel also owes its success to its employee-oriented attitude and its open-mindedness for modern process management. He offered his workforce pleasant workplaces and spacious social rooms.
