Eduard Krause-Wichmann
Eduard Otto Albert Krause-Wichmann (* 1864 in Pölitz ; † August 4, 1927 in Dresden ) was a German naval and art painter.
Eduard Krause-Wichmann studied at the Dresden Art Academy with Friedrich Preller and Gotthardt Kuehl and initially focused on maritime and later on industry-related motifs. Around 1900 he created a triptych for the Ballowitz conference hall in Stettin , on which the Krafft ironworks could be seen. The picture Eisen (walz) werk , which is kept in the German Historical Museum under the inventory number Kg 86/8, is probably part of this triptych. The oil painting Die Stettiner Vulcan-Werft dates from 1905 .
Krause-Wichmann's pictures were sometimes depicted on posters and postcards, in part during the First World War for propaganda purposes. In the war number 224 of the Illustrirten Zeitung of November 18, 1918, works by Krause-Wichmann were shown.
