Eduard Damirowitsch Kudermetow ( Russian Эдуард Дамирович Кудерметов ; born March 7, 1972 in Kazan , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player .

Career

Eduard Kudermetow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Ak Bars Kazan . From 1990 to 1992 the winger played for Sokol Kiev in the Vysschaya League , the top Soviet division. He then returned to his hometown and played from 1992 to 1996 for Ak Bars Kazan in the International Hockey League and from 1996 to 2002 in the Russian Super League . In the 1997/98 season he won the Russian championship with Ak Bars. From 2002 to 2006 he was on the ice for the first time for their league rivals HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk . The 2006/07 season began the left shooter at HK CSKA Moscow and ended it at Metallurg Magnitogorsk, with whom he was also Russian champion at the end of the season. At the beginning of the 2007/08 season , the veteran Magnitogorsk left and moved within the Super League to HK Spartak Moscow . At the end of the season, he ended his career at the age of 36.
