Eduard Moritz Doerk

Eduard Moritz Doerk (born October 7, 1792 in Insterburg , † October 25, 1867 in Halle ) was a German lawyer and member of the Prussian National Assembly .

Life

Doerk was born as the son of criminal inspector Johann Jakob Doerk, studied at the University of Königsberg from 1809 and passed his first legal exam at the age of 19. After participating in the Wars of Liberation , he went back to Insterburg to take his second exam there. In June 1820 he married Wilhelmine Josephe Schuchardt. The marriage resulted in nine children. In 1833 he was transferred to Eilenburg as detective director , before moving to Eisleben as district and municipal court director in early 1837 .

In 1848 he was elected as a member of the Prussian National Assembly, where he joined Hans Victor von Unruh's parliamentary group . In 1849 he became a city and district judge in Magdeburg .

Doerk died in Halle in 1867 and was buried there too.
