The Bosniaks are coming
Dedicated by the conductor to his friend Johann Puch.

Wagnes, who comes from a family of musicians in Graz, received musical training from Florian Schantl.

His most famous composition is the March The Bosniaks Come from 1895. Von Wagnes dedicated it to the Bosnian-Hercegovinian Infantry Regiment No. 2 stationed in Graz or in the Lebring-Sankt Margarethen camp . Wagnes directed the military band of this regiment.

Also known are the Flitsch March and the rock festival for the fatherland . The Puch March , which Wagnes dedicated to my dear friend, Mr. Johann Puch , has a special connection to Graz , thus paying homage to the Styrian manufacturer.

After retiring from active military service, Wagnes retired to his country house in Bad Gams in 1924 to devote himself exclusively to composition.

The Wagnesweg in the Graz district of Mariatrost is named after Wagnes . His nephew Josef Wagnes also composed.
