Eduard von Runkel

Eduard Justus von Runkel (born November 1, 1801 in Hachenburg , † July 4, 1882 in Heddesdorf ) was a German lawyer, administrative officer and landowner.

Life

After attending high school in Wetzlar Eduard studied from Runkel at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn and the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg Law . On May 15, 1820 he was one of the founders of the Corps Rhenania Bonn . In 1823 he joined the Corps Holsatia Heidelberg. After completing his studies, he became state procurator and in 1847 chief procurator in Koblenz . Appointed district administrator of the Neuwied district in 1850 , he held the office from 1851 to 1877. He was the owner of the Heddesdorf, Maiborn and Düsternau estates .
