Edward Killy
Edward Arthur Killy (born January 26, 1903 in Connecticut , † July 2, 1981 in Orange County , California ) was an American film director and assistant director who was nominated at the Academy Awards in 1934 for the Oscar for best assistant director .
Life
Killy began in the early 1930s as an assistant director in the Hollywood film industry and was involved in the production of 35 other films after Caught Plastered (1931). In 1934 he was one of the nominees for the Oscar for best assistant director.
From the mid-1930s onwards, following Freckles (1935), he finally directed around 25 of his own films. His best-known films include Murder on a Bridle Path (1936), Nevada (1944), West of the Pecos (1945) and Wanderer of the Wasteland (1945).
