Edward Mansel, 4th Baronet (of Muddlescombe)

Sir Edward Mansel, 4th Baronet († 1670 ) was an English nobleman.

Edward Mansel came from a branch line of the old Welsh Mansel family . He was the only son of Sir Anthony Mansel and Jane Price. His father died in 1643 during the English Civil War . After the death of his cousin Franics Mansel, 3rd Baronet on October 27, 1654, he inherited the estate of Muddlescombe in Carmarthenshire and the title of Baronet , of Muddlescombe in the County of Carmarthen. After the Stuart Restoration, he served as Sheriff of Carmarthenshire in 1661 .

Mansel married Jane Wyndham , daughter of Humphrey Wyndham of Dunraven in Glamorgan. After his death with no surviving descendants, his property was divided between his two sisters, Barbara and Anne, with Muddlescombe falling to the Owen family of Orielton . Richard Mansel from Iscoed , a son of his cousin Anthony Mansel, inherited his title .
