Edward Morgan Llewellyn Forster

Edward Morgan Llewellyn "Eddie" Forster (* 1847 ; † October 30, 1880 ) was a British architect.

Life

Edward Forster was born the seventh child of Irish pastor Charles Forster and his wife Laura Thornton. He attended the private Charterhouse School and until 1866 Trinity College in Cambridge. Against his parents' wishes, he then studied architecture with Arthur Blomfield (1829–1899). Between 1874 and 1876 he traveled through Europe, drawing French and Italian architecture. After his return he worked as an architect.

In 1877 he married Alice Clara Whichelo, aged 22. Two years later, on January 1, 1879, their son Edward Morgan was born. A year and a half after his birth, Foster contracted tuberculosis and died on October 30, 1880. His son was the well-known writer Edward Morgan Forster .
