Edward W. Veitch

Edward W. Veitch (born November 4, 1924 in Englewood , New Jersey , † December 23, 2013 in Shannondell , Pennsylvania ) was an American computer scientist.

Veitch studied physics at Harvard University , where he made his master's degrees in applied physics and physics in 1947 and 1948. In 1952 he developed a graphic process for optimizing digital circuits, which was further developed by Maurice Karnaugh in 1953 ( Karnaugh-Veitch diagram ).
