Edwin Bryant (Indologist)

Edwin Francis Bryant (* 1957 ) is an American Indologist and professor at Rutgers University .

Life

Edwin Bryant received his PhD in Indology from Columbia University in 1997. He has taught at Harvard University and is currently Professor of Indology at Rutgers University. He has published six books and authored a number of articles on Vedic history, yoga, and the Krishna tradition . He lived in India for several years, where he also studied Sanskrit .
