Edwin Torres
Edwin Torres (born 1931 in New York City ) is an American author and Chief Justice of the New York State Superior Court .
Live and act
Torres grew up in Spanish Harlem as a child of immigrants from Puerto Rico . He attended Peter Stuyvesant High School and then City College of the State University of New York . He then went to Brooklyn Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1958. In 1959 he was the assistant to the district attorney. In 1977 Torres was admitted to the New York City Criminal Court. In 1979 he was appointed to the New York State Supreme Court .
In his spare time, Edwin Torres wrote books on the criminal world, Carlito's Way (1975) and After Hours (1979). The book After Hours became Carlito's Way - the film by Brian De Palma . The two most famous books were printed in one book (Carlito's Way and After Hours). In 1990 another film adaptation of one of his books was made with Tödlichefragen .
