Edyta Bartosiewicz
Edyta Małgorzata Bartosiewicz (born January 11, 1965 in Warsaw ) is a Polish singer , composer and songwriter .
Live and act
Edyta Bartosiewicz began her career in 1990 with the band Holloee Polloy. After she left the band, she started to give solo concerts. The Big Beat album never became a commercial success. Nevertheless, there was a great response to Edyta's voice and music. In 1990 she contributed with her vocals to the album The Beginning by Varius Manx . 1991 began work on her first solo album Love . It was released on the Polish market in 1992 and today has gold status with 67,000 records sold. In the same year Edyta signed a record deal with the London company Chrysalis to release Love in Western Europe. Despite all of this, Edyta had no success in Western Europe. In 1994 their second album Sen appeared , which, unlike Love , was sung in Polish rather than mostly in English.
Due to the expiring record contract with Universal Music Poland in 1999, she released another best-of album, her sixth album called Dziś są moje urodziny (Today is my birthday).
Since then there have been a few singles and co-productions with other artists. In 2001 she also wrote songs for Edyta Górniak's album Perła , u. a. Never proszę o więcej , which became a great success.
In 2003, after a long break, their new single Niewinność came out, which should also announce the new album. Ultimately, the release of the album was postponed for several years, it should be released in 2006. However, when her manager died in 2006, the album's premiere was canceled. In 2005 she sang a duet with Krzysztof Krawczyk with the song Trudno tak (razem być nam ze sobą) . In 2008 she appeared again in public for the first time since 2006. On October 1, 2013 her sixth studio album Renovatio was finally released , which reached the top position in the Polish album charts and was awarded the platinum record with over 30,000 copies sold .
Edyta's most successful hits are Sen , Ostatni , Jenny and Tatuaż .
