Effect's 2012 Coburg
Effect's 2012 Coburg e. V. is an association that offers carnival dance sport in the tournament area and is based in Coburg , Upper Franconia . The association offers dance sport for children from four years and adults. In addition to the tournament teams, there are also youth and leisure dance groups.
The club is a member of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV) and the Bund Deutscher Karneval (BDK).
history
The original formation of the Effect's in 1996 was an over 15 dance group at Säraspo Frohnlach. In order to expand tournament sport to youth and junior teams, a department was set up in 2003 under the umbrella of the Coburg gymnastics association.
In May 2012 a separate association was founded - Effect's 2012 Coburg e. V. - with now over 200 members, including over 180 active dancers (as of April 2020).
The training takes place in its own dance center, which is the clubhouse and training facility for all teams - the Effectory .
A highlight in the club's history was the hosting of the Upper Franconian and Franconian championships in the Coburg HUK-COBURG Arena in 2015.
In the 2020/2021 session, the Effect's will again host the Upper Franconian and Franconian Championships in carnival dance sport. These will be on 6./7. February 2021.

Association composition
In order to be able to practice carnival dance sport at the highest level of performance, almost professional structures are required.
The association consists of an eight-person board team, over 20 trainers, a team of supervisors for each age group and the sports advisory board.
In order to carry out the many tasks in the association, there are also around 15 project groups in which members and friends of the association are involved. These are z. B. Maps, props , social media , homepage and much more.

offspring
Fleas (4-5 years)
In this age group the children are introduced to the carnival dance sport in a playful way. This team does not appear in tournaments, but only on private occasions.
Junior tournament team
Minis (5-6 years)
In this age group a first show dance is rehearsed; Guard dance is not yet offered. This team only takes part in the Upper Franconian championships in order to gain first stage experience.

The small group has its annual highlight at the session closing gala "effect's and more", where they present a passionate dance.
DanceIt with BBC Coburg
DanceIt has been part of the supporting program for the home games of the BBC Coburg basketball team since 2018 . In addition, the team took part in the DAK Dance Contest in Ingolstadt for the first time in 2019 and won it in the “pre-champs” class in the “Young Teens” age group.

Carnival dance sport is much more than just "jumping around". In the meantime it has developed into a competitive sport that demands a lot from the dancers. In the Bund Deutscher Karneval (BDK) tournaments up to the German championships are held.
The guard dance or march dance is a discipline that requires a high level of endurance, strength and flexibility in order to be able to do the 3-5 minute dance. In addition to the uniforms, the correct execution of steps and turns, synchronicity , difficulty and acrobatic elements are also assessed . The current evaluation criteria can be viewed and downloaded on the website of the Bund Deutscher Karneval .
In the show dance different dance styles meet. In addition to steps from the guard dance, there are influences from hip-hop , jazz , modern dance or aerobics . Lifts may also be installed. In addition, the dancer in the show dance is also an actor ; after all, a specific topic or story is to be presented. Music and costumes are selected to match the theme, and a varied choreography is developed. Funny, dramatic and moving stories are told in this way. There are also clear assessment guidelines here, e.g. B. on creativity and diversity of ideas. They can currently be viewed and downloaded from the website of the Bund Deutscher Karneval.
Effect's and More
One of the annual highlights in the club's calendar was the annual session closing gala Effect's for you until 2018.
Since 2019, the internal year-end gala of the Effect's has been converted into a public event and is now called "Effect's and More - dancing connects". Since then, the gala has taken place in the HUK-Coburg Arena . Various artists and teams from the carnival dance sport took part in the gala in 2019. The program was supplemented with artists from other dance styles such as modern dance and contemporary. The gala will be accompanied by singing. In 2019 the gala was very well attended with around 1200 guests.
In 2020, Sarah Lombardi will be the star guest of the event. In addition, the aerial acrobat Svetlana Wottschel, as well as soloists and teams from the carnival dance sport will perform.
Due to the Corona crisis, the 2020 gala had to be postponed from March 28, 2020 to May 16, 2020.
