The Effnerstraße is about 3 km long city road in the Munich district Bogenhausen and forms a portion of the partially completed exterior ring .

As an extension of Bülowstrasse, it leads from Effnerplatz on the Mittlerer Ring to the northeast, parallel to the Englischer Garten and the Föhringer Ring . The villa colony Am Priel-Hof and the August Haid brickworks monument are located on it . The Maschinenbach , a junction of the north Munich canal system, runs along the road .

The street was named in 1908 after the court architect Joseph Effner (1687–1745) and the horticultural master Carl von Effner (1831–1884).
