He crosses the Isar over the Herzog-Heinrich-Brücke . On the east side it runs through the municipality of Unterföhring . At the transition to Effnerstrasse is the Unterföhring base pyramid , from which the topographical survey of Bavaria began at the beginning of the 19th century.

The Beach Arena , the Max Planck Institute for Physics , the MTTC Iphitos tennis club and the Aumeister beer garden are located on Föhringer Ring .
