The Frankfurter Ring is a 3.4 km long inner-city main street in Munich. It leads through the districts of Milbertshofen , Schwabing and Freimann and forms part of the only partially completed Outer Ring .

The Frankfurter Ring runs from Moosacher Strasse (intersection Schleißheimer Strasse ) in the west to Föhringer Ring (intersection Ungererstrasse ) in the east. It has two lanes in each direction. On Ingolstädter Straße , a bridge leads one lane in each direction over the otherwise level crossing with Ingolstädter Straße. The Frankfurter Ring passes under the Freimann high bridge on the A 9 .
The former radio barracks is located at Frankfurter Ring 206 , to the south the Domagkpark area . The Euro-Industriepark stretches to the north and east between Lilienthalallee and Knorrstrasse, and the student town to the southeast . A green corridor to Petuelpark runs across the green areas along Oberhofer Platz / Christoph-von-Gluck-Platz / Ricarda-Huch-Straße .
The Frankfurter Ring underground station of the U2 and the terminus of tram 23 , which has been running from there to Münchner Freiheit since 2009, are located on Frankfurter Ring .

The street is named after the city of Frankfurt am Main . The box factory was located at Frankfurter Ring 228 . There trained u. a. Box sizes like: Muhammad Ali , Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko , Robin Krasniqi , Graciano Rocchigiani , Mario Daser or Axel Schulz . With 1000 members at times, it was the largest boxing gym in Germany. The box factory served as a backdrop for around 200 films.
Between Ingolstädter Strasse and Ungererstrasse , the railway line from Munich's Nordring to Munich-Schwabing station crossed the Frankfurter Ring with a level crossing until 1987 .
