The Frankfurter Ring underground station in Munich is named after the main thoroughfare that crosses it and was opened on November 20, 1993. It is served by the U2 line.

As in the Am Hart train station , the ceiling is made of corrugated anodized aluminum , which diffuses the light like a bird's wing. In the same way, the pillars in the middle of the platform in the lower part are clad with aluminum sheet to protect against dirt, which at the same time also sets a creative accent. Ricarda Dietz clad the back track walls with mosaics made of light and blue glass tiles, with animal motifs appearing again and again.

At the northern end of the platform, a lift leads to a barrier floor, from where Frankfurter Ring / Knorrstraße can be reached. An 800-meter-long strip of graffiti was sprayed on the walls from Am Hart from white and blue stripes in the tunnel. It is supposed to represent the speed of the subway.
