The underground station Josephsplatz is a station of the Munich underground .
The station was opened on October 18, 1980 and is located in Maxvorstadt near the St. Joseph Church , after which Josephsplatz is named; this in turn gave the station its name. Like the other underground stations on the U8 / 1 line at the time, which were opened in 1980, the Josephsplatz station has a simple design. The back track walls consist of greenish wall panels, the floor was covered with Isar pebbles, the pillars were clad with blue tiles and the two light strips were covered with aluminum slats.
