The Moosfeld U-Bahn ( underground) station is a station on the Munich U-Bahn in the Trudering-Riem district of Munich .
It was opened on May 29, 1999 and is served by the U2 from Feldmoching to Messestadt Ost . It got its name from a boggy area nearby. Since the station is located under the comparatively narrow Salzmesserstraße , the 700 or so bored piles for the outer walls had to be drilled into the earth at an angle when the station was built. However, the lower part of the rear track walls is straight again, so that there is a horizontal kink. The back track walls, like the ceiling, are made of concrete , which is painted red on one side and gray on the other. On the red side is the name of the residential area "Am Moosfeld" in large gray letters, while the writing on the other side is in red. The floor consists of granite slabs . The platform is illuminated by lamps in spoon-shaped reflector shades.
The Truderinger Hüllgraben runs in a pipeline laid on the ceiling of the station .
In addition to the residential area, the Am Moosfeld industrial area is being developed, which means that the station is well utilized. At the northern end of the platform, an escalator and fixed staircase lead to a locking level with a kiosk . From there you can get to the surface. At the southern end a fixed staircase and a lift lead to the surface.
