history

Knorrstrasse was named after the Knorr company , which u. a. also operated the old Bavarian engine works .

The Alabama depot was located on Knorrstrasse from 1917 to 1974 (today used by BMW) and from 1941 to 1942 the Milbertshofen Jewish camp , which is a memorial on Knorrstrasse.

The tram has been running on Belgradstrasse from Kurfürstenplatz to Scheidplatz since 1959, and from 1963 to 1993 the now disused extension of the route to the north in the direction of Hasenbergl crossed Knorrstrasse at its northern end.
