Robin Krasniqi (born April 1, 1987 in Junik , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a German professional boxer and EBU champion in his weight class.

Life

Krasniqi started karate when he was 15 in Kosovo. He came to Germany from Kosovo on November 6, 2004 and initially trained in the Munich boxing factory. Then he switched to the Magdeburg SES doctorate.

In addition to a number of build -up wins, he became the new WBO European champion on October 21, 2011 with a tKo victory in the fourth round against Abdelkahim Derghal. He defended the title in January 2012 through tKo in the twelfth round against Hakim Zoulikha. By knocking out the unbeaten Serdar Şahin in the fourth round, he won the WBO international championship on August 25, 2012. He defended this against Max Heyman just under three months later.

Since November 2012, Krasniqi has been listed as number 1 in the WBO world rankings , making it the official challenger to WBO world champion Nathan Cleverly . However, he was unanimously defeated by points on April 20, 2013 in London. Against the undefeated Emmanuel Danso, he won the WBO international championship title in March 2014, which he combined with Oleksandr Cherviak's WBA continental title in July. In December there was a unanimous victory on points against Dariusz Sęk.

On March 21, 2015 Krasniqi lost against Juergen Braehmer , WBA world champion in the light heavyweight division , in the 10th round by technical knockout .
