Egbert Nitsch

Egbert Nitsch (born July 8, 1934 in Koenigsberg ; † September 6, 2005 ) was a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). He was a member of the European Parliament and the German Bundestag .

The ecological gardener and orchid grower belonged to the GLSH wing of the Schleswig-Holstein Greens. In 1980 he founded the district association of the party in the Plön district , from 1982 to 1984 he was parliamentary group chairman in the local district council. He then became a member of the European Green Group and was a member of the European Parliament in 1988/89, where he worked on the Agriculture Committee. After moving, Nitsch became a member of the Greens in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district . On June 4, 1996 he joined the German Bundestag as a replacement for Rainder Steenblock , to which he belonged until the end of the 13th electoral term.
