Egidio Eronico

Egidio Eronico (born August 17, 1955 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Eronico graduated in architecture in 1982 ; Since the mid-1970s he has made numerous Super 8 films as an amateur film maker. In 1979 he directed the short Penultimi pensieri and the following year worked as an actor for Franco Fioravanti's Nina . After working on video, he founded the production company "Mambo Film" with Sandro Cecca and made some feature films together with his partner, which, although not very popular with the audience, showed him to be a promising talent in young Italian film with critics.

His best film of these years is Stesso sangue , made in 1988 , whose photography was described as superb. From 1992 he staged without Cecca; Annata di pregio was presented in Venice , but later, due to its non-conformist nature, it only received television broadcasts at night. His subsequent films are also works that are difficult to decipher. In 2003, the prominent ( Charlton Heston , Thomas Kretschmann ) My Father, Rua Alguem 55555, appeared on Josef Mengele .

Eronico holds seminars on scriptwriting and directing; In 2007 he created a 12-part radio documentary for Rai International.
