Eginolfus († January 19, 985 ) was Bishop of Lausanne from 968 to 985 .

Life

Eginolfus came from a wealthy family who owned properties in the area of ​​the St. Gallen Abbey . He grew up in St. Gallen. Presumably as a candidate for Otto I , he became Bishop of Lausanne in 968. Eginolfus took part in a meeting between Emperor Otto II and Pope Benedict VII in Rome in December 981 . On the return trip he made various gifts to Abbot Immo and the friars in St. Gallen .
