Egon Flad (born March 5, 1964 ) is a former German professional footballer.

career

Flad's career began as a youth at VfB Stuttgart , with whom he was able to become German A youth champion in 1981 . In 1983 he was signed by the Stuttgarter Kickers , where Flad was able to establish himself straight away. He moved to Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin , was also a regular player there and made promotion to the 1st Bundesliga with the Berliners in 1986. The defender and midfielder came to FC Schalke 04 via FC St. Pauli and finally to Tennis Borussia Berlin . With Tennis Borussia, the then 30-year-old got relegated to amateur football and at the same time ended his career as a professional footballer. Flad, who was almost always part of the permanent staff at his stations, made 102 first division and 192 second division appearances. He scored a total of 25 goals in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga .

Today Flad runs the player advisory agency Briem und Flad together with Herbert Briem .
