Felix Vatlach-Schumann (born June 11, 1982 in Greifswald as Felix Schumann) is a German triathlete who is particularly successful in cross triathlon ( Xterra ). Among other things, he won the bronze medal at the Xterra European Championships in 2008 and twice the gold medal at the German championships in cross triathlon (2007 and 2009).

Career

The Tübinger started his triathlon career at the age of twelve. From 2005, Schumann studied medicine at the University of Tübingen, where he passed his state examination in 2010. In February 2011 he started working as an orthopedic assistant at the Vulpius Clinic in Bad Rappenau.

In 2007 he became German Cross Triathlon Champion in Olbersdorf and was able to secure this title for the second time in 2009.

He partly trains with the Roth winner Michael Göhner . Schumann has been starting for the German team champion of the EJOT Team TV Buschhütten since 2009 . The nutritionist Wolfgang Feil , who hired him for the world championships in Hawaii in particular, is part of his team.

Schumann is 1.79 meters tall, with a competition weight of 68 kilograms. In August 2013 he won the Inferno Triathlon in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland .

He has not appeared internationally since 2015.
