Nicolas Lebrun (born April 9, 1973 in Nice ) is a former French duathlete and triathlete . He is four times national champion in the short distance duathlon, two times world champion winter triathlon (1999, 2000) and world champion Xterra cross triathlon (2005).

Career

In 1996 he became French national champion in the short distance duathlon. Nicolas Lebrun became Duathlon Vice World Champion on the short distance in 1998.

World champion winter triathlon 1999 and 2000

In 1999 he became world champion in Italy in winter triathlon (6 km running, 10 km mountain biking and 8 km cross-country skiing). He was able to secure this title again in Spain the following year.

In July 2004 he became Xterra European Champion and won the title at the Duathlon State Championship for the fourth time.

Xterra World Champion Cross Triathlon 2005

In October 2005 Nicolas Lebrun became Xterra world champion in cross triathlon.

As part of Xterra Italy , he became Xterra European Champion for the second time in June 2006. In 2008 he was runner-up in the winter triathlon in Germany.

In October 2009 he was again vice world champion in Hawaii after 2003 in the context of the Xterra world series.

After the Xterra World Championship in October 2013, he declared his professional career over at the end of the year.

In February 2014 he started for the last and eighth time at the World Championship Winter Triathlon and finished 21st in Italy.

Nicolas Lebrun now lives in Estoublon .
