Anke Erlank (born July 28, 1977 in Cape Town ) is a former South African cyclist and world champion in cross triathlon (2001).

Career

As an 18-year-old, Anke Erlank started at the Triathlon World Cup in Mexico in November 1995 and finished 19th among the juniors.

In 1999 Erlank won the US Tour de Toona . In February 2000 she was second in the long distance triathlon behind Paula Newby-Fraser at the Ironman South Africa (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).

In 2001 she became Xterra World Champion in cross triathlon in Hawaii and in 2004 she was Vice European Champion at the Xterra Czech Championships .

In 2004 and 2005 she won the title in the individual time trial in South Africa . Also in 2005 she won two African championship titles - in the individual time trial and in the road race . Erlank has not appeared internationally since 2005.
