Mossana Debesay (born November 25, 1993 in Asmara ) is an Eritrean cyclist.

Athletic career

Mossana Debesay comes from a cycling family: Her brother Mekseb is a racing cyclist, as was her other brother Frekalsi until 2015

Mossana Debesay has been internationally active in cycling since 2014. In 2015 she won the gold medal in road racing at the Africa Games and was two-time Eritrean champion in road racing and in the individual time trial . In 2016 she won her first bronze medal at the African cycling championships, in the team time trial. The following year she won two medals, gold in the team time trial and silver in the individual time trial.

In 2018 Debesay won her first individual medal at an African Championship when she won the individual time trial; her brother won that of the men. She won silver in the team time trial and bronze in the road race. Shortly thereafter, she received a contract with the Servetto-Stradalli Cycle-Alurecycling team as the first Eritrean in a UCI women's team .

The following year Debesay was Africa champion in the road race in March ; on the same day her brother Mekseb won the men's title.
