Former Kaysermühle

The former Kaysermühle is part of the former fine cloth factory Leopold Schoeller in Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia , Valencienner Strasse .

The Kaysermühle was built in the 16th century and expanded in the 18th century.

It is an originally angular brick building located on the mill pond . In the 18th century the east wing was expanded and a west wing was added. The brick masonry has sandstone walls . Most of the outer walls of the original buildings are still preserved on the ground floor, quarry stone masonry with corner blocks at the mill pond , otherwise brick masonry . Four original window frames from the 18th century have been preserved in the northeast corner. At the mill pond there is a subsequently added turbine house . Inside is a Voith turbine with a Siemens generator from 1937.

The building is registered under No. 1 / 066e in the list of monuments of the city of Düren.
