The building of the former lithographic printing plant in Detmold in the Lippe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), Elisabethstrasse 60, is a listed secular building of historicism .

architecture

It was built in 1905 by the court mason Fritz Baumann for the lithographic institute Schwanemüller und Tracht.

Above the quarry stone base, the front clad with facing bricks shows , while the gable sides and the rear of the building are provided with cement plaster. The cripple hip roof attached to the eaves is covered with cement interlocking tiles. The building was functionally divided: The stone store and a grinding room were in the basement, the office and machine room on the ground floor , the lithographers' drawing room on the street side and the home of the client Schwanemüller in the back of the house. To illuminate the machine room, there are four large, panel-shaped arched windows at the front. The work rooms on the upper floor are illuminated by eight windows divided by pilasters .

Since 1987 the building has been in Part A of Detmold's list of monuments . Nowadays there is a ring factory in the premises.
