The former office building is a listed secular building in Denklingen , a town in Reichshof in the Oberbergisches Kreis ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

History and architecture

The plastered, two-storey quarry stone building dates from the 15th and 16th centuries. In the 17th century it was rebuilt several times and given a broken hip roof. Inside, a wooden spiral staircase leads from the ground floor to the attic. The spindle is carved from a single log. Remnants of the rampart and wall of the fortification system of the former moated castle are still preserved in the south. There is a half-timbered pavilion from the 18th century. To the north is the mill pond of the former forced mill and to the east is the gatehouse from 1698, which was converted for residential purposes .
