Cross of Honor for 1814 (Frankfurt am Main)

The Cross of Honor for 1814 was on October 30, 1814 by the Governor General of the city of Frankfurt am Main Heinrich XIII. donated. It could be awarded to officers from Frankfurt who had made outstanding contributions in the liberation war of 1814.

The medal is a bronze cross, on the three upper arms of the cross (from left to right) the initials AI ( Alexander I. ), FI ( Franz I. ) and FW ( Friedrich Wilhelm ) can be seen. The year 1814 is on the lower arm . In the oval medallion of the cross it says DEUTSCH LAND and on the back it says H XIII RG .

The award was carried on a 42 mm wide, black-white-yellow-white-orange ribbon (the colors of Russia, Austria and Prussia).
