Badge of Honor of the Hanover Region

The Hanover Region Badge of Honor is an honor for personalities who have made an exemplary contribution to the Hanover Region and its residents. The badge of honor is awarded by the regional assembly.

Gold badge of honor for special merits

According to the statutes on honoring special services to the Hanover region, members of the regional assembly can receive the gold badge on the occasion of their departure from the regional assembly,

  • provided that they have worked there for at least 15 years
  • or after three terms have elapsed .
