Kerstin Liebelt (born July 17, 1962 in Recklinghausen ) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

Life

Liebelt works as a graduate economist.

She was a member of the regional assembly since the founding of the Hanover region in November 2001 and until the end of 2017 . There she was mainly involved in the fields of school, culture and sport. Since 2006 she has also been a member of the relevant technical committee, and from 2011 its chairman. From the beginning she was also involved in the Committee on Economic Affairs and Employment. In addition, the SPD MP was a member of the Environment Committee for several years, from 2006 to 2011 as its deputy chair. At the end of 2017, Liebelt returned her mandate to the regional assembly in order to be able to concentrate on her mandate as a member of the state parliament.

On October 15, 2017, Liebelt was able to move into the Lower Saxony state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD in the Springe state electoral district .

Liebelt is a member of the city council of Hemmingen . She is married and has two kids.
