Ehrhart Glaser

Ehrhart Glaser (born July 11, 1927 in Zwickau , Saxony, † January 7, 2006 in Nenndorf, municipality of Rosengarten ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament and a dentist in Nenndorf, municipality of Rosengarten.

Life

Glaser attended a humanistic grammar school in Zwickau and passed his Abitur here in 1951 after the war was interrupted and Soviet prisoners of war. He studied in Halle / Saale and Hamburg, took the state examination in 1958 and received his doctorate two years later. med. dent. After working as an assistant in Hamburg, he became a resident dentist in Nenndorf in 1959.

politics

Glaser was a member of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students and the Junge Union since 1955. In 1956 he joined the CDU.

He founded the “Nenndorfer Talks” of the CDU in 1965, which contributed to the dissemination of knowledge in more than 250 events based on political, societal and social issues with lectures by well-known speakers. In 1991 he was awarded the Federal Circle of Merit for this longstanding commitment.

Other offices were chairman of the CDU district association Harburg-Land (after resigning from office until his death he was honorary chairman) and 1st deputy chairman of the CDU district association Lüneburg. He was a member of the state and federal committee of the CDU.

From 1968 to 1972 he was councilor of the former community of Nenndorf, after the regional reform from 1972 councilor, from 1972 to 1986 also CDU parliamentary group chairman of the community of Rosengarten , from 1976 to 2006 member of the district council of Harburg-Land . He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 11th electoral period from June 21, 1986 to June 20, 1990.
