Eia Uus 2013

Eia Uus (born February 15, 1985 in Haapsalu ) is an Estonian writer.

Life

Eia Uus spent four years at school in Thailand and then studied English philology and Estonian literature in Tallinn. She completed her studies in 2012 with a master's degree. In addition to working in an advertising agency, Uus also works as a translator from English.

Eia Uus has been a member of the Estonian Writers' Union since 2019 .

Literary work

Eia Uus made her debut with a classic coming-of-age or development novel , in which the experiences of a manic-depressive boarding school student in Thailand are described. To illustrate the state of mind of the main character, all chapters in The Cold Shine of the Moon begin with a quote from Sylvia Plath . In her next novel, the author describes the life of young intellectuals.

Uus also wrote travel books about France and Paris , where she lived for a year.
