The oak Klostersee is an approximately 300 year old pedunculate oak . It is included in the list of natural monuments of the Ostholstein district .

The 25 meter high tree with a trunk circumference of 7.80 meters and a crown diameter of 25 meters is located in the park behind the Klostersee farm in Grömitz -Grönwohldshorst between Cismar and Kellenhusen . The oak belongs with two others (near Güldenstein and Neukirchen) to the thickest oaks in Ostholstein.

The tree can be viewed as part of the public guided tours of Hof Klostersee eV.

In the vicinity of the courtyard there was also the royal oak (up to 1000 years old), but it no longer exists. Her mighty trunk lies on the ground, her fate was a storm. A Danish king is said to have rested under her while passing through, hence the name.
